Walter “Tommy” Sims, age 70 of Auburn, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his home in Auburn.
Survivors include his sister Sharon Scherer of Auburn; nieces and nephews Kathy (Mike) Boyer of Auburn, Wesley Scherer of Auburn, Karen Lafferty (Ron Smith) of Auburn, Kari (Rick) Sikyta of Auburn; many great-nieces and -nephews; uncle and aunt Bob and Mary Blackard of Roseville, CA; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday, August 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5:00 to 7:00. Graveside committal of ashes will be held at a later date in Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Peru.
