Vern Cotton, age 87 of Auburn, passed away at the Nemaha County Hospital on Saturday, July 30, 2011. He was an Army veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his sons Bruce Cotton of Auburn, Dan and wife Cheryl Cotton of Peru; daughter Candace Cotton of Auburn; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 3, 2:00 p.m. at the Peru Community Church in Peru. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Peru, with graveside military honors provided by Peru VFW Post #7299. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 7:00 to 8:00.
