Tony Ray Haynes, the youngest of five children of Gerald and Carol (Miller) Haynes, was born Sunday morning, June 7, 1970 in Fairfax, Missouri. He received his education at the Rock Port, Missouri public schools, graduating from high school in 1988.
T. R., as he was known to family and friends, farmed in the Rock Port, Missouri and Auburn, Nebraska areas after his schooling. A true and simple farmer, he loved the hog business, and enjoyed raising and showing purebred livestock at county and state fairs. T. R. was also a licensed auctioneer, and had been a member of the Auburn Christian Church.
Following the accident which put a stop to his career, Tony resided in care facilities in Omaha and Nebraska City before becoming a resident of Lancaster Manor in Lincoln, where he lived from 2005 to 2010.
A decline in his health caused T. R. to be admitted to Bryan LGH West Medical Center in Lincoln, where he passed away on Sunday morning, August 15, 2010 at the age of 40 years, 2 months, and 8 days. His grandparents and nephew Clayton Haynes preceded him in death.
T. R. is survived by his parents Gerald and Carol Haynes of Odell, NE; brother and sister-in-law Kym and Tina Haynes of Shubert, NE; sisters and brothers-in-law Marlene and Doyle Oaks of Kennewick, WA; Beverly and Don Gallagher of Cape Coral, FL; brother and sister-in-law Kent and Kristie Haynes of St. Joseph, MO; 9 nieces, 2 nephews; many other relatives and friends.
