Ruth Beatty, age 82 of Lee?s Summit, MO (formerly Peru), passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 at John Knox Village Care Center in Lee?s Summit, MO. She was born June 4, 1927 in Wilcox, NE.
Survivors include her daughters Sharon Maynard of Omaha and fiancé Juan Cabrera of New York; Karen and husband Lilchandra Sookram of Lincoln; sons Rex and wife Kathy Beatty of Auburn; James and wife Barbara Beatty of Lee?s Summit, MO; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister Mildred and husband Clarence Leif of Lincoln; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services will be Saturday, January 16, 2:00 p.m. at the Peru Community Church in Peru. Inurnment of ashes will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Peru. No viewing is planned, but visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, January 15, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00.
