Rose Marie Sullivan entered into eternal life December 29,2019 at the age of 87.
She was the twelfth child, and youngest, born May 20, 1932 to Irena Jennie (Fowler) Marshall and William Marshall at home in Rosebud, SD. At the age of 17 she married Edward Henry Weihe. After his death in 1955, she married Richard Kenneth Sullivan in 1958.
She lived most of her life in Valentine, Nebraska until 1969 when the family moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa. Her and Richard later lived in Humboldt, NE; Brownville, NE; Hershey-Sutherland, NE and Auburn, NE. Richard passed away in July 1980.
She leaves to mourn her children: Linda Pahlke, Mandan, ND; Elsie Hill, Sabetha, KS; Sandra (Tom) Clark, Auburn, NE; Richard (Wilma) Sullivan, Meitingen, Germany; and Patrick (Lori) Sullivan, Lincoln, NE; sister Josephine Olson, Storm Lake, Iowa; sister-in-law Jean Sullivan, Concord CA; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, 1 great- great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Meeting her in heaven are her parents, Irene and William Marshall, her husbands Edward Weihe and Richard Sullivan, 10 siblings: sisters: Gertrude Gallino, Mary Stotts, Pearl Stewert, Helen Hannah, Alice McNiclke, Eva Hoffman, Mildred, Brothers:George Marshall, Victor Marshall and William Marshall; son William Weihe, Auburn; daughter Mary Hoy, Auburn; and son-in-law Mike Hill, Sabetha.
A memorial service was held January 8, 2020 at Auburn Christian Church in Auburn, officiated by Rev. Nate Powell. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Cedar Lawn Cemetery at Council Bluffs, IA.
