Patricia Ann Mayall, daughter of Tex Leroy and Theresa (Miedl) Mayall, was born February 6, 1960, in Gardena, California. One of five children, she grew up and went to school in California.
Penny, as she was known by many, married Jessie Martin on August 31, 2014, in Auburn, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Auburn, and their family included six children: Donnie, David, Jamie, Dan, Rosie, and Jessica.
Although Pat was mostly a homemaker, raising her children and running the household, she had worked in her younger years as a waitress. She was a very good cook who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed having coffee with friends and family and loved to watch westerns, especially “Little House on the Prairie” and movies about Jesse James.
After being hospitalized at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska, Penny returned home on Thursday, March 28, 2024, under the care of her daughters and hospice. It was at her home in Auburn, with family and friends around her, she passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the age of 64 years, 2 months, and 1 day. Her parents, daughter Wendy Quintanilla, son Tex Hughes, brother Leon, and sister Nancy preceded her in death.
Patricia is survived by her husband Jessie of Tucson, AZ; children and their spouses Donnie and Christina Hughes, David Hughes, all of Bakersfield, CA; Jamie and Chino Ochoa of Tucson, AZ; Dan and Katrina Mayall of Columbus; Rosie and Mason Sharp, Jessica and Brian Freeman, all of Auburn; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Linda (Gary) Smith of Council Bluffs, IA; brother Larry Mayall of Ohio; many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration Of Life will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, 4:00 p.m. at the American Legion Club in Auburn.
