Orvall Ivan Bohling, age 87 of rural Auburn, passed away at his home Tuesday, July 8, 2008. He was born in rural Auburn on May 28, 1921 and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII.
Survivors include his children Sharron Randolph of Auburn; Stephen (Nancy) Bohling of Blue Earth, MN; Leslie Ann Auerbach of Auburn; Dale (Kathryn) Bohling of Auburn; Joel (Vickie) Bohling of Lake Oswego, OR; Elaine (Lannie) Redfern of Colorado Springs, CO; Tim (Kris) Bohling of Carroll, IA; Annette (Jeff) VonBergen of Auburn; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Harlan (Ruth) Bohling of Auburn; sisters Mildred Gerdes of Auburn; Verna Mae (Glen) Koehler of Humboldt; Helen (Otto) Volker of Johnson; Marjorie (Willard) Kuhlmann of Auburn; Carol (Lloyd) Rathke of Iowa City, IA; friend Andy Solander of San Francisco, CA; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 12, 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran (Hickory Grove) Church near Auburn. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with graveside military honors provided by American Legion Post #23 and VFW Post #2635 of Auburn. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00.
