Orva Jean Gobber, age 83 of Elk Creek, passed away at her home Thursday, August 29, 2019.
Survivors include her husband Arnold of Elk Creek; daughters and sons-in-law Kay and Tom Heidzig of Johnson; Lori and Kevin Knorr of Nebraska City; grandchildren and spouses Michelle and Jake Topp, Jennifer and Christopher Dettmer, Justin and Katherine Miller, Carrie and Taylor Bartels; step-grandchildren Elizabeth and Joshua Johnson, Connie Knorr; great-grandchildren Logan and Tegan Topp, Stetson and Amelia Miller, one great-grandson soon to be born; step-great-grandchildren Ava, Addyson, and Cohen Steadman, Eva Johnson; sisters Darlene and husband Dean Volker, Elvera Jenkins; brothers Robert and wife Delta Boden, Marlin Boden, Willard and wife Janice Boden; sisters-in-law Evelyn and husband Richard Greenlee, Edith and Roger Broady, Ruth Wendelin; other relatives and many friends.
A funeral service will be Thursday, September 5, 10:30 a.m. at St. James (Long Branch) Lutheran Church near Humboldt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00.
Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association, American Kidney Foundation, or family choice.
