Norma Jean Rumbaugh, daughter of Norman and Carol (Wray) Bender, was born November 13, 1952, in Grand Island, Nebraska. Norma lived her entire life in Grand Island, graduating from Senior High in 1971.
Norma was united in marriage to Vito Cejauskas and was blessed with two daughters.
On November 17, 2007, Norma was united in marriage to Melvin “Buzz” Rumbaugh. The couple made their home in Grand Island, spending their winters in Apache Junction, AZ.
Norma established and operated Lil’ Cowpokes Daycare in Grand Island. Norma loved her time spent as a daycare provider and taking care of children. She also worked as a school teacher’s aide at Grand Island Public Schools.
In her free time, Norma enjoyed cooking, crafting, & sewing. She provided the neighborhood with endless thoughtful gifts and creations for her beloved friends and children. Norma enjoyed many vacations and memories with her husband Buzz until his death. Norma loved her grandchildren very much and spent as much time as she could with them.
On January 26, 2023, Norma passed away at her home in Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Buzz.
Those left to mourn her passing include daughter & son-in-law Kristin & Mason Thorley; grandchildren Sofia, Krishan, Kolton, Sydnei, and baby Merrick on the way; 3 sisters: Karen, Virginia, Gail and 2 brothers: Bobby and Richard; other relatives and friends.
