Norma Gobber, age 81 of Auburn (formerly Elk Creek), passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn, Nebraska. She was born June 13, 1929 near Humboldt.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law Wanda and David Grothen of Lincoln, Sharlotte and Gene Veburg of Lincoln; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister Elvera Bohling of Tecumseh; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 23, 11:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran (Long Branch) Church near Humboldt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Auburn Monday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends Tuesday 6:00 to 8:00.
Memorials are suggested to St. James Lutheran Church or Lutheran World Relief.
