Nancy L. (Vickers) Hadrys

Nancy Lynne (Vickers) Hadrys, born on January 29, 1957, in Auburn, Nebraska, was the daughter of Wayne and Carolyn (Feighner) Vickers. She was one of four children and grew up in Auburn, where she completed her education at Auburn High School.

On December 19, 1992, Nancy was united in marriage to James Hadrys in Elwood, Illinois. The couple built a life together, spending the majority of their adult years in Wilmington, Illinois, where Nancy worked as a bookkeeper. Following her retirement, Nancy and Jim relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, a place that perfectly matched her love for travel and the ocean.

After the passing of her beloved husband, Nancy returned to Lincoln, Nebraska. She passed away peacefully at her home on March 17, 2025, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.

Those left to mourn her passing include her daughters and sons-in-law April and Brad Briscoe of Jacksonville, FL, Angela and Samuel Szabo of Savannah, GA; grandchildren Tiffany (Mike) Dunlap, Tyler Menzies, Sabastian Szabo, Bristol Briscoe; sisters and brother-in-law Karen and Tom Myers of Lincoln, Julie Lotter of Auburn; sister-in-law Victoria Vickers of Auburn; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
