Mel Sandau, age 78 of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn.
Survivors include his wife Gerri of Auburn; daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Richard Tanderup of Brownville; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Jim and Marilyn Sandau of Lincoln; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A funeral service will be Friday, September 26, 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Auburn. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memorial Park in Lincoln, with graveside military honors by Nebraska National Guard Honors Team. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00.
Memorials are suggested to the Performing Center or family choice.
