December 20, 1945 — June 7, 2023

Mary Catherine Frenzel was born December 20, 1945, with her twin brother Gary, to Ralph and Eoma (Hammontree) Frenzel in Auburn, Nebraska. She was baptized in the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Howe, Nebraska and attended Rosedale School near her home through the eighth grade. Mary then attended Auburn Public Schools where she graduated from high school in 1964.

On June 24, 1967, Mary was united in marriage to Harlan Eugene Glathar in the Stella Community Church in Stella, Nebraska. To this union three children were born: Laura, Carla, and Ryan.

After her graduation from high school Mary was employed at the Farm Service Agency (ASCS) until her retirement in April of 2022.

She was a member of the Stella Community Church and sang in the choir there for many years.

Mary enjoyed working alongside Harlan on the farm and gardening. Her favorite pastime, however, was attending her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.

After experiencing some health issues, Mary was admitted to the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn on the night of June 6, 2023. It was there she passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the age of 77 years, 5 months, and 18 days. Her parents, husband Harlan, and brother Tom preceded her in death.
