Lola Rachel Eckert was born on December 6, 1919 to Herman and Mabel (Umbland) Henrichs of Johnson, Nebraska.
Lola married Irvin A. Eckert on July 4, 1941. The couple made their home in Auburn, Nebraska and were blessed with two daughters, Joyce and Rita.
Lola prided herself on raising her daughters and taking care of her family and home. She went to work at the Danny Dare Clothing Factory in Auburn until it closed, and then went to Pendleton Mills in Nebraska City, where she worked until her retirement at the age of 73. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Auburn.
Lola had been a resident of Clark Jeary Assisted Living for the past four years. It was there she passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the age of 91 years, 5 months, and 28 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and husband Irvin.
Those left to mourn her passing are her daughters and son-in-law Joyce and Gene Hahn of Papillion, NE; Rita Rae Riensche of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren Phillip Hahn and Linda Maghan of Seattle, WA; Teresa and Dave Hybner, Jr. of Bellevue, NE; Mike Hahn and Wendy Paszko of Lockport, NY; Larry Dee and Christine Prine, Jr. of Maricopa, AZ; Heather Musil of Beatrice, NE; Jonathan and Amy Mehlmann of Boston, MA; great-grandchildren Dominic and Lily Hybner; Sarah Hahn; Samantha, Tabatha, and Noah Prine; Connor, Matthew, and Shaelynn Musil; Ethan and Ella Grace Mehlmann; two step-grandsons; niece Carol Ann Carr of Seneca, KS; other relatives and friends.
Lola will be missed by all.
Graveside funeral services were Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Sheridan Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Tom Osborne. Inurnment of ashes followed.
