LaVerne Wheeldon, age 87 of Brownville, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Society-Auburn.
Survivors include his wife Lucille of Brownville; daughter and son-in-law Janice and Russ Sears of Crete; son Kenton Wheeldon of Brownville; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister Velma Ham of Loveland, CO; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 20, 10:30 a.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Brownville, with graveside military honors provided by American Legion Post #23 of Auburn. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to family choice.
