Ken Rogge

Kenneth Wayne Rogge, age 84 of Brownville, NE, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024. I was born to Frederick H.D. and Hilda L. (Stutheit) Rogge on March 9, 1940 in Auburn, NE. My education began at an early age at St. Paul (Hickory Grove) Lutheran Church, Muddy School (District 41), Auburn High School, University of Nebraska - Lincoln, University of Nebraska Medical Center. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree. I received my Army commission and served most of my time with the artillery but last assignment was General’s Aide De Camp.

I was employed by John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works and Triangle Pacific before 37 years as Medical Imaging Director at Nemaha County Hospital and faming in my spare time. I served as Secretary of the church board, Nemaha Rural Fire board and Secretary of RWD #1 board.

I was preceded in death by my wife, Judy, my parents, parents in law John and Glenna Sanders, brother Eugene Rogge, sister in law Evelyn Rogge, brother in law Wayne Moody, sister in law Marilyn Boush. Survivors are my children, Brandon (Lori) and Rebecca, grandchildren Kolton (Sheena), Levi (Hayleigh), and Bryna, great grandchildren Kru, Koy, Mazikein, Payton, and Kap sister Norma Moody, brother David (Nancy) and brother in law Kenneth Boush, nieces, nephews, many friends and extended family.

Cremation is planned. A private family graveside service Is being planned for burial of ashes at Hickory Grove at a later date. Hemmingsen Funeral Home is handling arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hickory Grove Lutheran Church, Bethel Community Church, Nemaha County Hospital, American Legion #23 or family choice and may be left in the care of Hemmingsen Funeral Home.
