Keith Lavern Burow, one of three children of Elmo Amil and Neva (Badberg) Burow, was born April 12, 1930, in the family home near Table Rock, Nebraska. He attended rural school near his home and spent his first 22 years in the Table Rock area. He then moved to and lived in the Howe, Nebraska area for 30 years.
After an earlier marriage, Keith was united in marriage on June 27, 1963, to Nelva Standley. Nelva passed away June 2, 1985.
Keith farmed and had cattle for many, many years. He also worked at Triangle Pacific/WoodCarv cabinets in Auburn as a machine operator.
Around 1987 Keith moved to Shubert, Nebraska and shortly after retired. His favorite hobby was to travel around the surrounding counties to dance. Much of his retirement consisted of spending time with family and traveling to his grandkids sporting events. He thought the world of his family, loved his grandkids, great grandkids, and great-great grandkids. He was so proud of each and every one of them.
Keith entered Long’s Creek Assisted Living in Auburn after health-related issues arose. He resided there until a fall in late 2021 necessitated a move to the Good Samaritan Society-Auburn. Keith always mentioned how kind and caring the staff was at Long’s Creek and Good Sam. He appreciated each of them.
On June 15, 2023, Keith had a fall and later passed away at Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn. In addition to his wife Nelva, Keith was preceded by his sister Delores Frank.
