God granted another angel her wings. She passed away at home surrounded by her family and friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 4:30 in the morning.

Kathy was born in Peru, NE on August 16, 1937, she grew up in Peru, NE and Superior, NE she graduated May 1955. She met her husband, Gene Byfield. Were married on April 24, 1955. They had six children

Throughout Kath’s life she had different jobs, but her favorite were Good Samaritan Society and Longs Creek in Auburn, NE. She really enjoyed taking care of all the clients that lived there. She was so giving, gentle, and loved taking care of other people. Kathy especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her hobbies were planting flowers and sewing different projects.

Kathy taught us values and how to be responsible adults. During a crisis, Kathy our beloved mother was the glue that held our family together so that they can tide over the difficulty were facing. If it weren't for Kathy’s bravery, our family would probably fall apart at the first sign of struggle. She had a kind soul and never had a negative word to say about anyone. She taught us to be kind, loving, forgiving, to work hard for what you want out of life, and to always live for the future.

She was survived by Larry (Cindy) Byfield of Auburn, Beverly (Linn) DeBuhr, Cathy Kronyak of Carlstadt, NJ Patty (Dan) Johanningmeier of Columbia MO, Richard (Toni) Byfield of Auburn, Janet (Mike) Andrew of Auburn; She had 22 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
