Jim ?The Whis? Whisler, age 58 of Peru, passed away Tuesday, June 5 at the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn. He was born June 16, 1948 in Nebraska City.
Survivors include his companion Debbie of Peru; son Coleman of Peru; step-son Andrew and wife Cara Vaughn of Auburn; 3 step-grandchildren; sister Rose and husband Mark Madron of Verdon; brother Bill and wife Nikki Shandy of Worthville, KY; many other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services will be Saturday, June 9, 10:30 a.m. at the Peru Community Church in Peru. Burial of ashes will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery near Peru. Visitation will be Friday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00. Cremation, no viewing.
