Jamie Lynn Hamilton

Jamie Lynn (Caples) Hamilton, one of four children of Craig and Cheryl (Cooney) Caples, was born May 18, 1983, at Auburn, Nebraska. Jamie grew up and attended school in Howe, Nebraska, she also attended school in Auburn.

In 2001, Jamie was united in marriage to Dustin Hamilton and would be blessed with twins: Keenan and Chloe. The couple would later divorce and Jamie would be blessed with two more sons, Zander and D.J. Jamie had a big heart, a captivating smile and was always willing to help someone in need.

On the night of October 31, 2022, Jamie passed away unexpectedly at her home in Lincoln, having reached the age of 39 years, 5 months, and 13 days. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father.

Those left to mourn Jamie’s passing include her children Keenan Hamilton of Peru, Chloe Hamilton of Peru, Zander Hamilton of Peru, D.J. Cogley of Lincoln; mother Cheryl Caples of Lincoln; brothers Chad (Kristy) of Omaha, Craig (April) of Lincoln; sister Nicole Caples (Dan) of Lincoln; former husband Dustin Hamilton of Peru; other relatives and friends.



A celebration of life will be Saturday, December 3, 3:00 p.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Bedford Cemetery at Howe.



Memorials are suggested in care of the funeral home.
