Earl J. Vinson

Earl James Vinson was born July 19, 1957 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was one of six children of James W., Jr. and Connie Lee (Trosper) Vinson. Earl received most of his formal education at Southeast Consolidated School in Stella, Nebraska. He graduated from high school there in 1976. After high school Earl joined the United States Navy.

Earl was an iron worker, and he travelled the country working at various job sites. He eventually made his home in Plainview, Nebraska. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.

Due to health problems, Earl became a resident of the Wisner Care Center in Wisner, Nebraska. It was there he passed away, on Monday, May 22, 2017. He had reached the age of 59 years, 10 months, and 3 days. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and brother William.

Earl is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Mike and Virginia Vinson of Auburn; sisters and brothers-in-law Loretta and Leroy Anderson of Humboldt; Kathy Mensing and Mike of Springfield, MO; Patty and Kevin Keithley of Lexington, NE; special friend Susan Boyle of Plainview; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held Friday, May 26, 2017, at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn, conducted by Bob Hemmingsen. Nieces and nephews Chris, Brett, Heather, Brandon, Brianna, Shawna, and Jennifer were honorary bearers.
