Doris Jean (Kuechel) Trumble, one of five children of Jacob and Hazel (Harness) Kuechel, was born October 24, 1944 in Grovertown, Indiana. She grew up and graduated from high school in her hometown.
Doris spent many years working in manufacturing plants. She worked 20 years for Wagner Wire assembling wire harnesses and 22 years at Ferro Fiberglass, ending her career there as a shift supervisor.
During her lifetime Doris had many interests. She liked to sew, and in her later years playing computer games and cards, especially Canasta, were things she enjoyed. Doris loved interaction with others, particularly her family.
To be close to her son and his family, Doris moved to Auburn, Nebraska and lived in the Valley View Apartments. When her health required it, she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society-Auburn. It was there she passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the age of 66 years, 11 months, and 25 days. Her parents and brothers Jim and Raymond preceded her in death.
Doris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Julia Gross of Stella; grandchildren Zachary, Elizabeth, and Nevaeha; sisters Juanita Kuechel of Indiana; Evelyn and husband Jim Devault of Indiana; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
To celebrate her life, a potluck dinner will be held Saturday, October 29, 1:00 p.m. at the Valley View Apartments in Auburn. All are welcome to attend.
