Doris Mathews

Doris Mae Mathews, age 86 of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn. She was born May 6, 1922.



Survivors include her husband Don of Auburn; children Shirley and husband Bob Drake of Auburn; David and wife Ruth Mathews of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren Steve and wife Debra Drake; Mike and wife Angela Drake; Michelle and husband Brad Smith; Sarah, Peter, Leah, and Phillip Mathews; great-grandchildren Nicholas and Jordan Drake; brother-in-law Bob Long of Charlotte, NC; nieces Mary and husband Denis Gibbs of Hawthorne, CA; Pat and husband Ellis McGaha of Maryville, TN; other relatives and friends.



Memorial services will be Monday, November 17, 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Auburn. Burial will precede in the Pleasant View Cemetery near Humboldt. Visitation and viewing will be at the funeral home Sunday noon to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 5:00 to 7:00.
