Donna Joyce (Michel) Schwenck, daughter of Clarence Michel and Ruby (Vickers) Eads, was born September 27, 1943, in Auburn, Nebraska. Donna grew up in southeast Nebraska and graduated from Johnson High School in 1961.
In May of 1982, Donna was united in marriage to Richard Schwenck. The couple made their home in Omaha, Nebraska before retiring and moving to Casa Grande, Arizona.
Donna worked as a production control analyst for Western Electric, a subsidiary of AT&T, for 33 years. Donna was a member of the union while employed at Western Electric.
Donna enjoyed crafts and attending flea markets, playing golf, and watching NASCAR. She also enjoyed going to car shows in Auburn and surrounding areas. Donna and her sister made many road trips to Arizona and back to Nebraska, a time they both enjoyed spending together. Donna loved to sing, especially Toby Keith songs, but couldn’t carry a tune. She was also an avid Nebraska Cornhusker Football fan.
Donna passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska, having reached the age of 81 years, 3 months, and 15 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Rich; sisters Shirley and Bobbi; brothers Ron and Jim; and her beloved dog Yahtzee.
Those left to mourn her passing include her sisters Vineta, Patty, and Judy; sister-in-law Pam Eads; brother-in-law Stan Collins; special friend Kay Stigge; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. Inurnment of ashes will follow in St. Paul (Hickory Grove) Lutheran Cemetery.
