Donamae Jean Fisher, one of six children of Harland and Clara (Pieper) Stoner, was born September 13, 1945 at Nebraska City, Nebraska. Her family moved to Falls City, Nebraska, and Dona attended school there through the 6th Grade. She then attended school in Tecumseh and graduated from high school there.

As an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Dona was involved with the Women of the Church and also served as the church custodian from 1974 until 2007. She was a sports fanatic, and loved to watch her children and grandchildren compete, as well as the Nebraska Cornhuskers. She also enjoyed listening to music, especially country. Dona and Ron loved to go to Statler Brothers concerts, and didn?t miss anytime the group performed in Nebraska.
