Dennis Joseph Schroeder, one of six children of Arthur and Rita (Myers) Schroeder, was born September 5, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky. Dennis
graduated from Camelback High School in Phoenix, Arizona and attended several colleges receiving his Culinary Art Chef?s Associates degree.
As a multi-talented man, Dennis held many positions throughout his life, but his main focus was the culinary arts. He owned restaurants in Kentucky and Arizona, worked as a Master Chef in Hawaii and Florida, and most recently was head chef at the Wheeler Inn in Auburn, Nebraska. In addition he operated pest control businesses in Arizona and Florida.
Dennis had many interests to keep him busy. He enjoyed fixing up homes in the cities in which he lived, and was an informed stock market investor. He had extensive stamp and coin collections, and loved to travel. Dennis? greatest love, however, was for his family. He loved spending time with his daughter Melissa
and grandchildren Elias and Hayleigh, even to the extent of moving to cities where they lived.
Quite unexpectedly, Dennis passed away at his home in Auburn on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the age of 61 years and 10 days. His parents and brother Jimmy preceded him in death.
Dennis is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Melissa Waddell and Travis Allgood of Auburn; grandchildren Elias Waddell of Auburn, Hayleigh Waddell of Auburn, Fenix Allgood of Auburn, Kody, Grace, and Faith Allgood of Auburn;
brothers Arthur of Kentucky, David of New York, and Paul Schroeder; sister Margaret Schroeder of Kentucky; other relatives and many friends.
