Deborah K. "Deb" Breuer

Deborah Kae (Larson) Breuer was born June 9, 1956, at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. One of four children of Ralph and Betty (Gaul) Larson, she was baptized at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Omaha.

Deb started her formal schooling at Oak Valley Elementary School before transferring to Mary Our Queen School through eighth grade. She then attended and graduated from Marion High School, all in Omaha. Going on to Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa, Deb earned a degree in biology. Later in life she took graduate courses at Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska.

On June 16, 1979, Deb and David Breuer were joined in Holy Matrimony at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church in Omaha. Their first home was in Omaha, where their son Nathan was born. In 1981 the family moved to Auburn, Nebraska and they were blessed with two more children, Aaron and Abby.

Deb taught Jr. High math in Stanwood, Iowa for two years after graduating from Briar Cliff. When they moved to Auburn, Deb worked in Dave’s chiropractic office until around 1990. She stayed at home for the next few years taking care of the children and continued helping with the business aspects of the office. In 1999, Deb went back to teaching math at the Jr. and Sr. High levels at Sacred Heart School in Falls City, Nebraska until retiring in 2013.

In addition to her work responsibilities Deb was active in her church and community. As a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she was CCD program director from 1985 to 2001 and was a member of St. Joseph’s Tabernacle Society. From 1979 to 2001 Deb was a Girl Scout leader and volunteered at Villa Marie Camp near Waverly many years.

Deb enjoyed crafting, including handmade greeting cards, and was a big fan of Elvis. Her favorite pastime, however, was spending time with her grandkids!

On Thursday, September 12, 2024, Deb was rushed to the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn. It was there, that evening, she joined her Heavenly and earthly Fathers in Heaven.

Deb is lovingly remembered by her husband Dave of Auburn; sons Nathan (Jenna Delunger) of Lincoln, Aaron of Auburn; daughter Abby (Roberto) Montiel of Omaha; grandchildren Christopher, Natalia, and Anthony; mother Betty Larson; sister Diana Carlin of San Antonio, TX; brothers Dan (Rhonda) Larson of Lincoln, David Larson of Bellevue; other relatives and many friends.
