Carolyn Williams, one of eight children of James Cornett and Celicia Fugate, was born August 15, 1942 in Diablock, Kentucky, she was a coal miner?s daughter and proud of it. Carolyn received her education growing up in Perry County Kentucky, where she was a graduate of Dilce Combs Memorial High School.
On April 7, 1986, Carolyn was united in marriage to Darrell Williams in Little Rock, Arkansas. The couple was blessed with two children, Cassandra and Anthony. After their marriage, they lived in Little Rock for several years before moving to Dardanelle, Arkansas where they lived for seventeen years. For the last three and a half years, Brownville has been home.
Carolyn was a member of the Calvary Christian Center Assembly of God, where she was involved in the Prayers and Quilting Club and the Joyful Women?s Bible Study. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoyed reading, quilting, and gardening.
Due to failing health, Carolyn was admitted into the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn, where she passed away on July 7, 2010 having reached the age of 67 years, 10 months, and 22 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband Darrell of Brownville; daughter Cassandra and husband Robert Bayer of North Augusta, SC; son Anthony Williams of Dardanelle, AR; brothers James O?Neil Cornett of Bremen, IN; Virgil Cornett of Camden, TN; Dan and wife Inge Cornett of Garden Valley, CA; Bill and wife Joyce Cornett of Rock Falls, IL; great-nephew Kane Keohan; great-niece Amber Keohan; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
