Bonnie Jean (Andrew) Williamson, one of three children of Everett and Gladys Marie (Douglas) Andrew, was born July 10, 1940 in Auburn, Nebraska. She attended school in Auburn and spent most of her life there. She lived in California and Florida for a while in her younger years.
Bonnie worked for many years at the Danny Dare factory in Auburn, and for King Louie after the plant changed owners. She took foster children into her home and cared for them after King Louie closed down. She worked in the dietary department at the Nemaha County Hospital for a short time as well. Bonnie’s next calling was as an in-home care giver for those who needed the help. She really enjoyed the time she spent helping others.
In her spare time Bonnie liked going “garage-saling”. She also enjoyed working in her yard, and had many types of flowers growing around the house. She was an animal lover, especially when it came to cats. She was very proud of her family and loved spending time with them. Bonnie even treated her friends as if they were family.
After complications from surgery, Bonnie’s health began to decline. She passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln. She had reached the age of 75 years, 8 months, and 29 days. Her parents preceded her in death.
Bonnie is survived by her children John and wife Sonya Williamson of Wilber; Robert “Crackers” Williamson of Lincoln; Kelli and husband Rolland Lewis of Omaha; grandchildren Cody Williamson, Kyle Williamson, Stephanie Reicks; great-grandchildren Marco, Brianna, and Britney; brother Bob Andrew of Auburn; twin sister Connie Walters of Nebraska City; nephews Allan Walters, Randy Walters, and Cory Thompson; other relatives and many friends.
Memorials are suggested to family choice.
