Bill Stephens, age 73 of Auburn, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. He was born July 24, 1935 in Brock.
Survivors include his wife Ilene of Auburn; mother Ottis Stephens of Auburn; children and spouses Chuck and Laura Stephens of Plattsmouth; Kim and Rick Rotundo of Omaha; Jeff Stephens of Colorado Springs, CO; Joe and Theresa Stephens of Colorado Springs, CO; step-children and spouses Rick and Chyria Sheehan of Lincoln; Kathy and Tim Laborde of Rapid City, SD; Dan Sheehan of Villisca, IA; David Sheehan of Omaha; Margaret Janousek of Omaha; 7 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; sister Jeanette Mulligan of Omaha; other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be Thursday, December 18, 11:00 a.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. Inurnment of ashes will follow in the Sheridan West Cemetery, with graveside military honors provided by American Legion Post #23 and VFW Post #2635 of Auburn. A book will be available for signing at the funeral home Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Auburn Rescue Squad or the Good Samaritan Society-Auburn.
